Before the appointment

Once you book, you’ll receive an intake form. It asks about symptoms, medical history, medications, prior labs, and goals. The more thorough this is, the more efficient the first visit.

If you have labs from the last 6–12 months, upload them. We prefer to interpret existing data before ordering more when appropriate.

The first visit itself

The initial consultation is typically 30–45 minutes, virtual by default (we can arrange in-person for patients in our physical locations). It is a conversation, not a checklist. We want to understand:

  • What’s actually going on and when it started
  • What you’ve tried and how it went
  • Your goals — in your own words, not a template
  • Your priorities and constraints (schedule, cost, comfort with different treatment formats)

By the end of the visit, we typically have a working impression and a plan for diagnostics.

Lab work

If diagnostics are needed, we send a lab order to a location convenient for you (usually a Quest or LabCorp draw station). Fasting labs are drawn in the morning. Cost is transparent up front — we don’t do surprise billing.

Results typically return in 3–7 days. We review them and communicate before the next visit rather than waiting for you to see numbers you can’t interpret.

The plan visit

Once labs return, we schedule a follow-up to review results and discuss options. This is where the real decisions happen. If treatment is appropriate, we lay out the specific plan: what medication, dose, format, monitoring schedule, and cost. If treatment isn’t the right answer, we say that too.

Ongoing care

For patients on therapy, we follow up at 6 weeks, 3 months, and then every 6 months on average — more often when we’re actively titrating. Communication between visits is available for questions and adjustments.

What we’re not

We’re not a subscription that ships hormones without seeing you. We’re not a wellness clinic that hands out semaglutide without a full workup. We’re not a pellet mill. We are physicians building a real medical relationship with each patient, and that’s why the process has actual steps.

Next steps

Booking is straightforward. The next available appointments are typically within the current week.
